First Post - Doing the Doxydoe
On Wednesday 29th Jan I had my 1st Docetaxel infusion which I reacted to, but with the help of some type of
cortisone
shot, they managed to proceed. Now the Steriods have worn off, I'm feeling pretty tired.

Raising TSH and low Cortisol
Hi everyone. I hope you are all keeping safe with the current situation. I am under the endo now but slow going. Yesterdays bloods TSH 7.3 ref (0.35- 4.7) and T4 9.5 ref (7.8-21.0). They also took cortisol 251 (200-700) and prolactin 220 (70.0-550.0) as they wanted to rule out Addisons. These bloods

What do you think?
When my right wrist hurt I asked for a
Cortisone
injection which worked great. She said adrenal crisis is very dangerous and it's possible my adrenals will never work again. I just don't know what to think. I don't want to take pred for the rest of my life and I don't think increasing has helped.

Subacromial impingment (shoulder pain)
(Oh, incidentally I have also had three
cortisone
injections in the shoulder which provided only short-term relief and I am reluctant to have any more.)

Had 4
cortisone
spine injections before the 30 and 6.4 and wonder if really was higher. Esr went back to 10 and cpr .9 after two days pred last week. Pred is killing me but I worry about stopping. It’s a dilemma. What to do ? Haven’t talked to rheum about results yet.

WRIST FUSION
Doctor did a
Cortisone
shot to see about settling it down however it didn't work, Now seeing the new MRI it shows the bone moving down is on fire and the bottom area is cracked off. A total fusion is necessary from my Doctor, He suggested a second opinion so I am doing that.

Morning, it is snowing 😲😲
Morning all, apologies, not been well for the past 48 hours, not covid 19 you will be pleased to know, just horrendous tiredness, headaches, temperature drops which necessitate getting in bed and sleeping (35.3 degrees) and funnily enough a nose bleed each morning. I suffer from an under active thyroid

Pooling and cortisol
Hi. Did anyone experience pooling T3? Was it due to high or low cortisol? How did you level your cortisol? I heard that magnesium is good for it. I believe I'm pooling T3. My level in the blood is over range, but I don't think it's going to the cells as I'm not feeling slightly better for the moment

Another way of treating PMR?
Hi I saw a Cardiologist this week who mentioned that there is a method of treating PMR that does not involve
cortisone
. Does anyone know anything about this? I am very disappointed that after 10 months of treatment with
cortisone
the PMR in my blood is exactly the same as it was last February.
