Hi everyone, I posted on here in Summer as I've been really struggling with my symptoms. PMR or ARTHRITIS
I have had
cortisone
shots in both hips and shoulders. These helped for about 3 to 4 weeks. Very strange that when I got the shot in my shoulder, the following day my hips felt better too!

Itching
I have been really itchy and have been using
cortisone
. Also if any one wants to share their diet, I’d love to hear about what everyone eats.

Newbie, first post please can anyone advise regarding pain?
I also had tendonitis plus possible frozen shoulder in 2011, it came on suddenly after I'd painted a ceiling and needed a
cortisone
injection and physiotherapy for several months. I've also had 2 episodes of extremely painful rib pain lasting about 3-4 weeks.

Endocrinologist appointment
O.K, I'm not sure if going to the Endocrinologist was a good idea...it has left me with more questions than answers and a 'Massive' invoice to boot. Aside from cost, she took a look at my medichecks report, after I made it VERY CLEAR that I came off my T4 for a number of weeks beforehand. She wanted

Hello, I am 34 fairly healthy female. I have hoshimotos and recently switched to a new endocrinologist because i felt my regular doctor was not helping me get better. The main complete was that I am always tired and gained some weight. I am a school teacher but my tired lately seems even more. Anyway

Diagnosis. And still I Question...
I was treated with
cortisone
and had to unlearn that habit. I was even doing it in my sleep. My hearing and eye sight are being affected because the muscles in my neck are so tight.

SST test for low cortisol whilst on TRANSDERMAL HRT/oestrogen gel (i.e. not oral hrt)
I believe that taking oral oestrogen interferes with serum cortisol levels (I think it increases it) due to increasing cortisol binding globulin. (I know that for SHBG, transdermal doesn't affect it but oral does) I have been taking transdermal oestrogen gel - I believe that this may not have the same
