Starting investigation - Blood Test queries..
Hi! After my first post I managed to speak to a GP and mentioned to them that my most recent TSH was elevated (5.63) along with other stuff and he agreed that at the least I have subclinical hypothyroidism and agreed to do more bloods including a cortisol test to check for Cushings due to my symptoms

Hello all. I have had 3 blood tests recently, with a few problems. The latest test shows my cortisol level at 62. GP has marked this as OK.

This despite the same guy hitting me up with a
cortisone
injection in my shoulder due to inflamed tendons. Since then I have had a bad bout of uveitus, psoriasis outbreaks on my face and night back pain has ramped up a few more notches in the last year forcing me out of bed at 4am.

Bursitis / groin pain
Is my only alternative having a
cortisone
shot? I over extended myself by painting the living room and dining room, it took us a week but my hubby and I got it done. At 65 years old, I sadly can't do what I used to do without consequences and now I am paying the price.

Pain in Ribs/Costocondritis
Was referred to Pain clinic who gave
cortisone
injection and physio, but nothing is helping. Although now after 2 1/2 years have been told it is Costocondritis, can anyone please tell me how to fix it? Or is it a life long thing I have to live with ☹️ Any suggestions on what has helped you please.

Cortisol tests
Hi everyone! Haven't done yet cortisol saliva this year. But made others at first. Are there optimal levels for morning blood cortisol? My test came back 16,2 mcg/dl with range 4,30-22,40 (8am). And 24-hour urine test 149,4 (58-403). Other tests of ACTH and aldosterone are still to come.

Lymphoedema: Benefits of Methylprednisolone?
I saw a comment about how a
cortisone
shot had helped someone else. Maybe it was the same situation I had-- steroids/
cortisone
can temporarily help the symptons of lymphoedema but they cannot cure?????? Does anyone know? Does my doctor know?

Cortisol question with severe hypo
Hi again, apologies for posting again so soon, trying to understand my own health puzzle ! I posted the other day about TSH of 11 and BELOW range T4 and T3. Have an endo appointment next week to discuss this. My Genova cortisol test has just come back and I'm surprised because everything looks pretty

Adrenal support
I wonder if someone could advise on how best to support my system. We had a couple of stressful weeks, nothing major, just general life really. We came away and I've spent 2 days feeling nauseated, dizzy, and exhausted. I'm starting to pick up about now but this has happened every time I have to manage

Inflamed rectum - radiation proctitis??
She prescribed some hemorrhoid cream with
cortisone
in it and said come back in 5 days. Meanwhile my butt feels like what a baboons looks like. I have also had nerve pain near my tailbone, which concerns me. Oddly there is a red, sore line in my, um, butt crack.

Anti inflammatory pain killers
Apart from a
cortisone
injection in my back that I had sourced privately the only help I received from GP and consultant was to take anti inflammatory pain killers like Ibruprofen, Namoxen etc. I took their advice against my better judgement.

Prednisolone - Side affects on Muscles and Tendons
https://
cortisone
-info.com/en/side-effects/side-effects-on-muscles-and-tendons/ Does anyone else have this problem and has it eased or gone away as Pred is reduced or is this here to stay. I am down to 1 mg now and apart from weakness in my arms and tendinitis symptoms I feel fine.

Cortisol Blood Levels
Hello! I’m after some advice. My daughter is currently under an endocrinologist who asked for a number of bloods to be taken. She requested a blood cortisol as part of these bloods but as she is needle phobic, getting a 9am result wasn’t going to happen! As we were due to have an appointment at GOSH

Rebound psoriasis
He said the psoriasis is so bad now because of the
cortisone
- it’s a rebound effect - as I’ve gone lower the psoriasis has come out more. He asked if I had ever considered Methotrexate and I said no - and that I would not.

The diurnal pattern of Free Cortisol and
