GP failed to inform me of Chronic Hep C positive test result for 7 years?
I was diagnosed with Chronic Hep C in 2007 after my GP requested a blood test, as I was suffering with shortness of breath and severe
anaemia
symptoms. The results came back saying I had "chronic active hepatitis".

Solutions for Severe Anemia
Hubby thought he was finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately had a duodenal bleed in December. Ever since he’s been severely anemic. If he exerts himself in any way he becomes dizzy, nauseous and needs to have a nap for an hour or so. He feels tired all the time. It’s been three

Can someone help me to understand my blood results. Seems I will need treatment soon
After 5 years of W&W the consultant at Marsden is now of the opinion that now would be a good time to start treatment. He is, I believe, recommending O&V being first line treatment in the UK NHS. I am mutated. and key results are as follows ; WBC 98.6, HGB 123, RBC 4.21, MCHC 308, Neutrophils 13.8,

Low Iron and Vitamin D
My daughter has just received her ferritin results back from her GP. She hasn’t been issued with any iron tablets the graph shows she’s within the normal range but it is down at the bottom end when it needs to be at an optimal level, so I've read, My question is, can anyone recommend a good Iron vitamin

17 hour flight
I have been invited to a wedding in Louisiana later this year. My RLS is still problematic but manageable at home with Buprenorphine and Pregabalin and walking around / standing up. I am doubtful about the 17 hours flights. I can't ever remember going that long without several attacks of RLS. I've

On iron supplements but my ferritin did not increase
I started having a lot of symptoms of iron deficiency last year after correcting my long term B12 deficiency: dry mouth, palpitations, muscle twitches. It is possible that my iron had been low for a long time and I just didn't notice because my B12 had also been low. I started taking iron supplements

TKR post op review
We were obviously there for hours where I was diagnosed with
anaemia
and postural hypertension. Six hours and no painkillers as we’d left home early and thought we’d be straight back. Since then my walks have lengthened though very slow (the dog is exasperated!)

Severe Anemia and Imbruvica
I have been on 400mm Imbruvica for 6 years fighting CLL/SLL. I understand most patients consider them the same, I do not as I am tested every 4 months for both during Labs. So, please know this is not a debate for me, I simply have symptoms of both in post Labs with my Oncology expert. Most recently

Deficiency can cause numerous symptoms (see more below) ranging from lack of energy, memory issues, a sore tongue, weakness and pins and needles, to
anaemia
, breathlessness, confusion and, rarely, even paralysis and death.

Changes to menstruation during B12 loading therapy?
As a result he is confident with his diagnosis and has written t my GP to state he believes I have "immune-negative pernicious
anaemia
(B12 deficiency)" and that the problem is with my stomach, despite auto-immune tests being negative.

Iron tablets and T3 timing?
I'm trying to raise my low ferritin (33 at last test) and am taking ferrous sulphate twice a day (will be testing my levels again soon).I was previously taking my T3 meds once a day but am having a bit of trouble tolerating a recent 5mcg increase (was taking 10, now 15mcg) so I'd like to try splitting
