Possible swollen lymph node in groin

Hi all,

I was doing my lymph node checks and think I might have found something. I was diagnosed with stage one melanoma on my right lower leg last fall. The dermatologists had told me if I feel something like a small hard lump the size of a pea during my node checks I should be concerned and follow up. I think I feel this on my right side. Could I be wrong? Has anyone had this and what did it feel like? I plan to follow up immediately, do I go to my dermatologist or my primary MD? Would the next steps automatically be sentinel node biopsy?

I’m frantically worried and didn’t know where to turn. Any advice is helpful!

Sarah

Hello Sarah. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Yes. Get it checked. I had similar situation and followed up with surgeon. It was stage three melanoma which has since been surgically removed. I am currently going thru immunotherapy.
