I am new here and not really sure what good it will be to post.. but I am so scared of what my recent punch biopsy results are going to be. I have about 1 week of waiting and am unable to avoid thoughts of a possible melanoma diagnosis. I have never been through or known anyone else who has been through this. I understand that most members here will be having a much harder time than myself and I send you all my best wishes. I will be greatful for any advice about how to deal with the waiting and also what the next steps and questions are following a diagnosis, if that were to happen. I definitely feel that knowledge is power! Thank you 😊

Just keep busy doing anything else. Really no other way to avoid freaking out. Hope you're ok
Hope you got positive results! I’ve had moles removed since I was about 10 years old and got the melanoma diagnosis at 33 years old. I used to be glad when the derm decided to remove a mole, because I figured it would be atypical at the worst and that means it was caught before it turned ‘bad’. Now it’s definitely more stressful, but the important thing is to keep seeing your dermatologist and find one you have a good relationship with.
