Hi again :-)One of the best ways to cope with both stress and depression that I have found is

1. Exercise, you don't even need to to leave the house but the fresh air will do you good if you can push yourself, walking if you're not into running. Or there are plenty of online exercises since lockdown and many are free, you can put your headphones on and cope that way. I know it's really difficult to motivate yourself when you're feeling that way but we all need that little push to kick start our recovery.

2. Mindfulness is great for both too, you can listen to a Body Scan mindfulness (lots on YT) and they only take 12mins, a really good habit to get into.

3. Any hobby that distracts you, adult colouring and water colour pencils are really good, you lose yourself in what you're doing very easily.

Do you have any interests or a dog maybe?

Hey, thanks a lot for these tips. I will sure try and follow them. I used to be really interested in dancing but i suddenly feel like i suck at it and I feel less interested or more like I feel embarrassed to dance anymore. And I do not have any pets.

Hi uniquecorn Wow dancing, that's brilliant, it may be that around that time you began to feel stressed or depressed? just a thought. Now with so many things on line, you may be able to take part in the comfort of your own home with no one around to make you feel uncomfortable.

Might be worth looking into. Take good care of yourself<3

Sure will~I've been procrastinating a lot lately and I feel that it's like this vicious cycle that I'm stuck in. I stop doing things from my daily routine such as studying, workout, drinking water, and practicing dance because I feel too stressed, tired, and lazy but when I stop doing these, I feel more depressed. It's like a feeling where you know you are wasting so much precious time but feel too numb to do something, even if it is something that I love. I don't know if it's the lockdown that's affected me the most but I've been ding this for 3 years I guess. I'm trying hard to change it but always feel like the energy I put in isn't even 1% of what's required. I'm also lacking in studies as compared to my classmates. My score has gotten down.

uniquecorn The lockdown has really had an effect, even on those people who didn't previously have stress and depression, so take heart it's not just you. But, I would definitely try to make a start to get back on track, and dancing is your key I think ;-) Once you're feeling uplifted you should find you are able to study and think in a more positive ways.

I'd love to know how you get on, so please do pop in anytime.
