Ask Google and look on leaflet in box. Always give it 2wks, as no body gets all the side effects listed and it takes about that time to get into your system. It should make you more relaxed but not sleepy. Good Luck

I would say to this to you: it is a very good antidepressant. However, it’s withdrawal effects can be quite nasty. When your healthcare practitioner decides that you are well enough to stop taking it, ask for a plan to stop it. Don’t just discontinue its use, or you may be ill.

How long does it take before it comes effective?

Oh boy, I feel your pain!! I started fluoxetine two weeks ago and the side effects are horrendous, a huge increase in anxiety and rage and also big nausea. From everything I have read, you will feel worse before you feel better, something to do with the way serotonin is released and the way your body adjusts to it. I’ve actually created my own post but have received no replies as yet. From all the reviews I’ve read, peoples advice is to stick with it. I really hope you feel better soon, it’s no fun, is it 😟
