~following this post~ I either eat everything or absolutely nothing in a day. Would like to follow this post for advice x
I’m exactly the same. I tend to not have breakfast and can sometimes not eat until about 3pm. My problem is that when I start eating, I can stop. 🙂 You can see links to previous posts on this subject by typing ‘binge eating’ in the search box (above right)
I've been hearing quite a lot on the latest trend: intuitive eating. It might be worth you doing a little digging into it.
I'm not a big fan of journalling, but I think it's a good thing for you to sit with your thoughts and try to work out what pre-empts a binge. Some things to consider would be:
Emotions
Does it follow a period of restriction?
What do you binge on?
Although most would say it's not in keeping with intuitive eating, I found following a 14:10 eating pattern helped me to break one of my binge eating habits (overeating in the evenings after dinner).
Finding other habit breakers can be helpful too. Having a list of alternatives for when you feel an urge coming on could be a useful tool.
