I'm slightly older than you weigh 88 kg and had a small acidity problem years ago. I started having two pieces of rusk at the time my meal was due if I could not eat then. The doctor had told me that it was important to get something into the stomach not necessarily a lot.
I ate at least one boiled item at meals usually potatoes and very bland food e.g. khichidi with high percentage of lentil and various vegetables. I also ate rice gruel which is a mixture of veggies with rice and no lentil. I did this for about 6 months and was then Ok.
Though I am obese I still manage to cycle a total of 15 km 5 days a week over the day and do about 1000 skips in 20 minutes this keeps me physically fit and I do at least one Sudoko
per day on my mobile.
