Have you spoken to your doctor regarding this recently? And if so have you had any tests such as ultrasound etc?

Yes spoke to gp have lots of blood tests next week!!!!!

Which I know I'll be anemic, and I'm taking iron as it is.

Also seeing a gynecologist, but I know that's the only option I'll be given, the coil.

I can't find any women with pcos who have had it in for prolong bleeding and where it worked or not

Hi there

Sorry to hear you are suffering, I have had the mirena coil for heavy bleeding, about to have my second coil replacement so that’s over ten years I’ve been using it.

This was the best decision I ever made as was suffering with prolonged bleeding and pain and it settled within a few months of the coil being inserted.

It’s certainly worth a try for you, in my experience we are all slightly different and our bodies react but as someone who couldn’t tolerate contraceptive pills or the implant, I can say that the coil works for me.

Have you tried acupuncture? I used to have really heavy, painful and irregular periods, after having a course of acupuncture treatment I now have normal monthly cycles. Check this blog post out, very informative: zendaysacupuncture.wordpres... x

Thanks

I've not tried acupuncture for periods

But I'll give it try

Hopefully it doesn't cost too much

Thank you so much for messaging
