Good morning everyone, well the stats speak for them selves and what vegans have been saying is at last being listened to and adhered to.
We started January off with the 'Times up' campaign when Hollywood actresses stood up and said enough is enough and it was like a domino effect, so good for them.
We have had controversy about the pay gap between male staff and female staff and we have female executives standing up and saying enough is enough.
And January was Veganuary where people were encouraged to go vegan for January to give it a chance and it's worked because we as a society are sick (literally) because of the food choices that we have been encouraged to make, by slick advertising that is clever rather than sincere. And to me people are standing up and saying enough is enough and doing something about it.
So I see 2018 as starting with a theme and theme driven by members of society who are using social media as a platform so say that we want change, change towards our eating habits and change towards 'us' taking responsibility for our actions and their effects on the environment and we have to look out for those less fortunate than us in developing countries.
look at the Pacific garbage patch that is collectively of our doing and is our responsibility not our children or their children it is 'our' mess and we shouldn't have let it happen in the first instance, so again I see ordinary people standing up and saying enough is enough lets sort this out and lets start now...
I see 2018 as an age of awareness and taking responsibility for our actions because being proactive beats complacency in every way.
