Happy new year all!

Am wondering if anyone here has ever been prescribed Tranexamic acid ? Particularly interested if anyone has been prescribed this in pregnancy as a preventive and how they got on.

Appreciate any input, struggling to make an informed decision and as usual there seems to be a lack of public information on this drug as a preventative in the MCAS and EDS patient group !

Thank you

I haven’t had it since my MCAS diagnosis or since I had any symptoms from it. What I can say though is it was life changing when I did.

Hi, TA is prescribed for me as my regular med with anti histamines to reduce the impact of my angioedema swellings. I double up on the TA dose when they occur. However, due to frequency and location (throat, uvala, tongue, tummy) i’m now on Xolair injections, which has totally stopped my angioedema. I experienced no side effects whilst on TA and wasn’t ever pregnant.
