Hmm, I see I'm first again...

I have absolutely tons of ideas on sleep, but I'll start short.

Are you doing all of the sleep hygiene "rules"? Incl. when you can't sleep: getting up out of bed and praps about a bit, out of your bedroom, use the time for something useful or nice, not beating yourself up for not sleeping...?

You know that studies have shown that most people sleep more than they think they do? They even dream that they have not been sleeping.

Try Yoga Nidra videos like Ally Boothroyd for insomnia. I find these a brilliant sleep substitute, seems to me to be better even than shallow sleep, and often I do drift away.

Have you tried all the supps for sleep?

Have you identified any triggers, things that are making it hard for you to sleep?

How old are you?

I've resorted to antidepressants - 15ug mirtazapine at bed time. I don't know if it is contributing to my MCAS symptoms or not but the insomnia was breaking me. I don't seem to be able to get on with HRT - that is often a solution for a peri-menopausal/ menopausal woman although I think mast cell disorders are a complicating factor when taking HRT.
