Hi, I was the same. First two jabs of AZ which caused redness and heat but nothing major. Had booster this week which was Pfizer with only local heat and swelling for few days. Didn't take extra antihistamines as appointment was early morning and had just had my usual dose. Carried my Epipens just in case and had extra dose of antihistamines in evening. Hope all goes well.

Hi dobbo2021. The "green book" on the COVID-19 vaccines has been updated in October to reflect experiences with the vaccines and reactions to them so far. Here is the link: gov.uk/government/publicati...

I'll post the second page separately as just one photo per post is permitted.

You and your doctor should be able to discuss where you fall on this chart and consider whether you're suitable for a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Many of our members with SM have been ok with the mRNA vaccination and some have begun reporting (in our Facebook group) that they have been ok with Pfizer having had AZ. That said, if you have a history of reactions that has raised a particular question please do discuss what a suitable location would be for you to have the vaccination. I do think that a small number of people have had AZ as a booster because of particular circumstances, but I have heard it as a general thing and don't know of specific examples.

I have had two AZs and a Pfizer (but don't have a history of anaphylaxis to vaccinations) and the Pfizer was easier than the AZs and my mast cells weren't fussed. But different people can react differently of course!
