Any suggestions for eye make-up ( simple eye pencil will also do) that does not cause itchy dry eye?

I always struggled to put on any eye make-up and could not figure out how all my friends wear mascara and all the colourful shadows with ease while I can't even use a simple eyeliner. Finally, the mystery has been solved now that I know I have mastocytosis but looking for recommendations for eye make-up and any skin products in general which could work for us.

I am able to use Clinique eye pencil without a problem, but of course we are all a bit different. I have also used their black mascara, though I don't use it regularly. Do you try things on the inside of your arm before using on your eyes? That seems to be nicely sensitive for me so it's a helpful guide.

Hi, I have SM and I’m a Beauty Therapist. The best mascara I have found are Chanel & Lancôme. A bit pricey but worth it. Change them every 3 months to avoid nasties getting in the eyes. Don’t pump your Mascara area either as it will dry out and encourage air and nasties into the cylinder. Sharpen your eye pencils regularly. As for skincare Boots no7 is very good. Plus the salon skincares are good. Decleor, Elemis, etc ( look at qvc for some offers on these) My top 2 tips are cleanse your skin thoroughly whether you wear make up or not! It’s so important so you don’t get a build up. Don’t use face wipes, they are shocking for the skin . Use an spf moisturiser daily. My other tip is if you use make up brushes wash them regularly to get rid of build up on the brushes. I use a gentle shampoo for mine. I wear make up daily so wash my brushes once a week.

Hope this helps. X
