Has anyone found any benefits in taking Turmeric? And if so what type/level have you taken. Thanks in advance all!

Turmeric
That's an interesting question. I've not taken it myself, but my husband takes it for non-masto purposes. Here are a few research articles you might find interesting (though that may be why you're asking already, but maybe helpful for others), though they don't address brand or dose question. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/261... (Murine means about mice, and curcumin is one of the chemicals in turmeric.) ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... And in this article the key sentence is the last one, I think: "Taken together with previous results (Lee et al., 2008), the anti-allergic inflammatory activity of curcumin appear to be due to the suppressions of the secretions of TNF-α and IL-4 and histamine release and eicosanoid generation through the inhibition of Syk kinase pathway in IgE/Ag-induced mast cells." But I don't see any studies in humans yet. Though lots of people seem to be taking turmeric for a range of conditions at present. As with anything new, caution, understand as much as you can about what you're taking and how it's sourced and discuss it with your healthcare providers. I recently gave my husband grief because I realised that amongst his various supplements were several anticoagulants and he hadn't discussed with his doctor that he was taking them. Maybe that's fine, but maybe not. Turmeric is an anticoagulant (blood thinner), so worth checking on to see if that's desirable for you!
I don’t take a turmeric supplement, but do use the powdered stuff in warm milk, with a dash of pepper if I have a chesty cough. It works to ease the discomfort, and enables comfortable sleep. Haven’t needed to so far this year. Probably due to social isolation during Covid - 19 pandemic, have thus far avoided any colds and coughs.
I've been taking it on and off for over a year. I find it helps with brain fog. I take hollandandbarrett.com/shop/...
