Government suffers Lords defeats over welfare

The government has lost three votes in the House of Lords over its plans to cut the welfare bill.

I understand all of this as much as I understand Mandarin Chinese... which is not very well... But this is a good thing right?

Yes it's a good thing but like any Government paper it ain't over until it's in black & white, signed, sealed & delivered so until then anything could happen. so watch this space. :)
