I’d love to go to Thailand next year but the flight is 12-14 hours long. I’m worried it may make my T worse. Of course I’ll use earplugs and noise cancelling headphones. For context I have noise induced T so wary of any more noise damage. Has anyone flown with T and it been made worse?

Flying long haul?

speaking for myself. I find that indeed T comes back louder once I’ve got to my destination and start to relax.
But it soon fades back into the background. Back to normal.
The return journey is worse, because once you’ve got home and started to relax you’ve got nothing new to take your attention. It’s at that point that Mr T says “Aha, you are tired and cranky and your holiday is over so I’m going to TALK LOUDLY”. But I don’t like Mr T to be in charge of my life so I make sure he fades away.
Hi! I flew from Bucharest to New York, then another time to Los Angeles and another flight to Washington but my T didn’t get worse .
Try to forget about it!
Good health!
I'm in Thailand at the moment. I've flown here several times since I first got T in 2017. Just to reassure you it hasn't made it worse. In fact when I'm here I rarely notice it. My advice is go for it. Don't let it shrink your life.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, hope you’re having a great time there! Your advice to ‘not let us shrink my life’ was very much needed. I’ve lived my last year in worry about it getting worse. Of course there are some things that I will change as don’t want any more noise damage like concerts. But it’s so reassuring to read this. Thanks again
