New case of ear ringing, I was wondering if anyone can advise. About 3 weeks ago I had a soft ringing in my ear. Assumed it was wax so cleared it out with 5 days of Otex treatment. The ear did get a bit sore and I foolishly put a cotton bud in. The ringing is now really persistent and varies in pitch. Went to an earwax removal clinic and they looked in my ears. No wax but they did say I had inverted eardrums and probably Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. The ringing changes in pitch when I clench my jaw and I do have TMJ issues in the past. This image of my ear was sent to me and I queried the red patch but they said it was likely due to the retraction and not inflammation. Has anyone had similar issues which caused tinnitus?
