Earplugs For Musicians - Recommendations?

Hi,

I've had tinnitus for almost two years now, kicked off by attending one particularly loud gig (straw that broke the camel's back scenario). It's annoying as hell, loud enough to be heard clearly above the TV at night most of the time, but I'm learning to live with it.

I've been using the Flare earplugs when attending gigs since. They are OK but, like everything else I've tried, kill the high end. I want to get some pro moulded ones done and thought I'd ask here for recommendations first, given the cost of them.

Can anyone recommend a company that does moulded earplugs with decent db reduction and as close to a flat frequency response as possible? I'm in the Bath / Bristol area but I don't mind travelling to London or wherever to get them done.

Thanks in advance for any input.

ACS do very good custom moulded earplugs for musicians. You can get an impression of your ears made and then send them it, so wouldn’t need to come to London to get it sorted:

You can attached different filters on them, which would block out different frequency ranges.
