Annoyingly my tinnitus has decided to get loud whilst I'm on holiday. I don't know if it's loud because I'm thinking about it or if I'm noticing it because it's loud. Just writing this it seems to be getting louder but is it because I'm drawing my attention to it?

It was a 4 hour car journey. When we went to Wales for the first time last year I also had it but not the second time. Something may have been different then I suppose. It's food for thought though.
this happens to me when If I go into another destination. Try and forget about silly T , tell it to go away, relax and enjoy your holiday. You know your be alright !!!
This exact thing happened to me after15 years of T that was bearable it suddenly spiked a lot and has stayed there. On a lovely Cotswolds holiday too with hubby and best friends.
How annoying. Spike after first trip to Wales lasted a long time. I had wondered then if it was something to do with covid as I'd had that a short while previously. Did improve though so disappointed it's come back now
Hi marigold60 Hope you have a nice holiday in spite of the T . I tend to notice my T more if I'm not in my usual routine. It's as if the familiar makes it easier to manage.
Thankyou, I'm sure you're right about change of routine. It makes sense.
Tinnitus is linked to the nervous system quite often, so if there is stress or even excitement, that can trigger spikes. Any strong emotion so it may be the excitement of your travelling. Or both that and stress.
