are u taking any medications for this? The OTO app for yr mobile (19.99 per month) is very good for CBT and Tinnitus and Anxiety therapies - i would recommend this

I'd definitely recommend meds as one course of action. They help you cope with the pain of anxiety and depression, so in turn help with ignoring T. As others have said, CBT is good to do as well.

Deep breath sun_1234 It's normal to feel anxious and / or depressed in the early days of T . You could try the resound relief app. It's free. There are some lovely sounds & meditations for tinnitus. Other than that it's a question of staying as calm as you can. Not easy I know. I took 5HTP to reduce anxiety and promote sleep. I think I might've mentioned this before. Please know that these days will pass and you'll move into much calmer waters.

Thank you Doglover. Yes you mansion this before. Im scared all medicine’s. If I feel headache I don’t take paracetamol as well. I feel anxious to take any medication. 5Htp i’ll buy this one definitely. My T gets loud from 3 4 days I don’t know why.I feel some music sounds goes too fast thank you for your kindness reply.

I don't like meds either sun_1234 I'm anxious they might make my T worse. Don't worry . 5HTP isn't a medicine. It's a natural supplement. It won't do any harm at all. I hope you have a better day today 🐶

I am beginning to see the benefits of meditation though hugely difficult to stop thoughts pouring in. I try the 30 minutes and it seems to have a very beneficial impact

Antidepressants have helped me massively. Thought I only intend for them to be short term. I have new hearing aids which are helping, so will stop the meds shortly. I'm currently on Sertraline, but I didn't get on with others in the past. I was reluctant at first (for several years in fact) to try something again, but now no regrets. As others have suggested and even to complement medication CBT or meditation.

Wishing you the very best. Remember you're not alone.

I never thought I’d go on antidepressants but it really helped me. I was so low and rang my GP. Make sure you talk to your GP and explain exactly how you feel. Hope your mood gets better.

Hi! Tinnitus indeed may trigger depression and anxiety. I have been suffering from T for more than 15 years.I suggest you should take long walks, listen to your favourite music, meet with your friends, especially in the open air when possible.

When I needed, I resorted to Sedatife PC, it’s natural, but not for a long time.

Good health!

Good morning, I work out on my static bike every day to lower the Anxiety. It clears my head and is a distraction from the Buzz in my left ear. Have you been diagnosed by your GP.? Regards anxiety/depression.? Anti-depressant drugs don’t agree with me& they have side effects.Have you been through the whole process of possible Root Cause.?

Are you sleeping ok.?

It’s a balancing act. I keep a journal of what gives me spikes…..

Eat well ( I went to see a Nutritionist.

Keep an eye on your blood pressure.

No Alcohol… it effects the inner ear as alcohol enlarges vessels..

I also use a Vaporise Cup , ( hot water, eucalyptus inhalation…

I know it’s hard to stay positive, Depression is bad enough, but Tinnitus feels like the icing on the Cake…. On my page. It might be helpful for you to read through some of my previous reply’s

If the Suns Shinning, Get outdoors

Have you had CBT..?

Take care Daniel

Hiya sun I was very depressed and anxious when I first got tinnitus and had no idea how I was going to cope with it. I had been married 5 weeks life was amazing then tinnitus. 4 years on I am in such a better place Sure I still have off days with spikes etc the human body has an amazing way of learning to cope. Whatever you feel now it will get better.

Hi, first thing, don’t think you are alone. I was diagnosed only 2 weeks ago and finally had a decent nights sleep after using some sleep aid tablets from a well known High St pharmacy. I am very anxious about the noise and how to adapt to it so please feel you have kindred spirits in the group.

Also, ask your GP to refer you to a Tinnitus clinic.
