Bisoprolol and Nebivolol are the worst beta blockers for Tinnitus apparently. In November when I was in A&E and they told me I was having a heart attack (I'm 49) I knew as soon as they handed me the meds that my tinnitus would get worst. I started on Bisoprolol and Atorvastatin, and both are known culprits for tinnitus. So no surprises when T escalated. I stopped both (after speaking to doctor). They suggested nebivolol but it's also a culprit for T. So I said no. Still waiting to find a beta blocker that won't make T worst. I started on another statin, rosuvastatin, which hasn't made T worst. It actually helped. But had to stop due to painful joints. I'm taking aspirins and clopidogrel every day. But I can't stop them due to the stent. I'm sure both are making T a lot more bothersome than it used to be. But I also want to stay alive. So don't have a choice.

It all sounds worst when we summarise it all in one sentence. 😊

I take Bisoprolol and my tinnitus has definitely increased in the last year, it used to be tolerable now it is like a waterfall in my left ear all the time and has started in my right ear. Some days it drives me crazy

Hi thanks for sharing. Until this Christmas I didn’t have any tinnitus but it’s just started. Drove me up the wall last night trying to sleep.

I wake up and go downstairs to have a cup of tea, it’s quite depressing in the darkness of the night, I go back to bed and eventually drift off. I do wonder how much worse can it get than it is now. I have been told there is nothing they can do to make it go away, just have to learn to live with it. I keep busy and it’s not so noticeable it’s just at night when everything is silent.
