I got tinnitus in one ear from micro suction for ear wax removal and I the other ear from using Otomize ear drops. Both things occurred in a couple of days. I have heard about the thyroid causing tinnitus problems. Do you think my thyroid could be involved also or am I complicating things too much?

Your tinnitus doesn’t have to have been caused by anything - it just happens,Suzysunday!
I do feel you need to keep your ears clear by whatever means is available to up you - I used to have mine syringed but this isn’t offered now. I have micro suction. Otomise does nothing for me.
Thanks. I know the micro suction caused the tinnitus in one ear. The Otomize was given for earache in the other ear and the tinnitus started after using them. It's lasted 3 months now and I was wondering about the thyroid connection.
Could always request blood tests to check your thyroid. It's not been a cause with mine although I do get pain around that area and weird sensations when my ear's about to play up (get louder).
Tinnitus can be a symptom of a under active thyroid, but there are many other problems that come with it too, mostly feeling tired all the time Is the main one. If you are concerned that your tinnitus could be thyroid related, ask your doctor for a blood test to check your levels.
Ok thanks. I think I am looking for answers or a solution. It began with the micro suction in one ear and Otomize drops in the other. I am just really fed up.
