Steam relief tinnitus

I want to just share that my wife went to get a facial and there was a steamer they were using she said it made the sound sort of go away of her tinnitus on Amazon called King Steam facial steamer set it up tonight she used it and has been using it this evening and says that it reduces it to zero there is something to the steam I don't understand. Maybe her tube is clogged and it gives her relief she has been so miserable with this for two months

Hi. Thanks for this info.

I feel like your wife here. I hope she is feeling better and the tinnitus has gone completely.

Apparently I have ETD and it’s taken since new year to get to where I am now. I have a swollen left side of face with altered sensation travelling down from the ear. Ears still clogged but better in a way, after nasal steroids for over a month, now on oral steroids, but tinnitus started around the 2nd of February. I hate it and it’s driving me insane. Constant screeching in your ears. It too is driving me to tears. After a big shoulder op November gone and another op in March coming...it’s all driving me to the brink, so I will try anything to get rid of it.

I was wondering do you have a pic of the steamer? I put the description in and it’s brought up loads.

Many Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

It's possible. My wife may have some TMJ from wearing smile Direct to straighten a few of her teeth last night she took Flexeril and says this morning that she feels so much better it's not gone but it helped to diminish the sound

Ah thank you for your reply and description of steamer.

Oh yes TMJ...I’ve been told I may have that also. They don’t really know I don’t think. Just need a scan now. They’ve tried everything else.

I am literally willing to try anything. If they told me to stand on my head and suck my thumb for a week and it be gone...I’d do it 😏.

I’m glad your wife is feeling better and getting some relief. Let’s hope it’s goes completely 🤞🏻 And doesn’t come back.

Okay so she did the scan to they didn't really find anything from it but it ruled out any kind of tumor so it's good to get one now that we are leaning towards TMJ I have been massaging her jaw and using the steamer to put heat on it and last night she took a Flexeril as suggested by our dentist yesterday today she woke up to no ringing in her ears what you better now has a very faint whooshing wind sound that is much easier for her to deal with I suggest that you try these if need vent it is maybe it will help you as well she is so relieved we know that it's not going all the way but I think we are heading in the right direction after months of trying all kinds of crazy stuff

Oh that’s so good to hear.

I’m really happy for her, for you both. It’s hard to watch the one you love and not being able to take it away for them. I am going to try these, thank you so much.

If I can just get rid of the constant 24/7 screeching tone that would be a god send.

Is Flexeril prescriptioned?

I will go and ask for it if it is.

I’m definitely demanding a scan now as it’s been nearly two months of being fobbed off.

I found a little steamer that stands on a side table with hot steam spray and Ion Vapour Ozone steam function for £51. I don’t have prime but I’m guessing this one Is similar and will will do the same?

Thank you so much.

I will ask for some.

That’s ok, I’m sure they must be practically the same or very similar.

Thank you for your time, replies, and we’ll wishes. I really do appreciate it, and wish both you and your wife well and that she too us completely free of the T

Hello Thanks from me too.

A thought also about nasal ear congestion:

When I gave up dairy it helped with my gungy ears in the winter

Best wishes
