Living life in the rear view mirror.

I posted this a few years back but I thought that it may be helpful to new members of this group. I have had T for 4 years, Constant high pitched Whistling in the right ear and variably high and low in the left.

As you know, it can be hard at times to motivate yourselves to do things. Noisy parties, functions and even holidays can be horrendous. What I noticed is that when I remember an event, I remember it without the Tinnitus. When I look at the photographs the memories generally come back as a positive experience. I love family photo albums. This has helped me a lot. I try and do as much as I can even though I may not enjoy it at the time. I suppose that it is a way of putting positive things in the memory bank.

Hence, the title of this post "Life in the rear view mirror". This is not a cure but at least it allows me to make the most of a difficult situation. I endure it with the knowledge that it will give me something to look back on. It also helps my family a great deal. These can be the secondary victims as they have to "tiptoe" around me being grumpy.

Wishing you all peace and quiet.

Ade
