Ringing after irrigation

When I got my ears syringed the person doing it told me it could cause my ears to ring a little but would wear off if you are worried I would go to your gp especially if it has been ringing for a couple of days hope this helps you a little
Did you have any problems with tinnitus before the irrigation? Any form of intervention can sometimes upset the delicate balance of your hearing system, particularly if the procedure isn't carried out extremely carefully, but if you've not had problems before your ears should hopefully calm down again after a few days. Keep your fingers crossed, you really don't want tinnitus!!
Hello and welcome to the forum AuraTodd. Ear wax removal is a safe procedure, although there can be a temporary increase in tinnitus afterwards, as the auditory system adjusts to the new input – I have linked to our information on ear wax removal which explains more.
If you have any questions, just ask!
