Can a high TSH be a contributing factor for DVTs?
Together with strong anemia and platelets super high?
Thanks

Your heart and brain are the main users of T3 - they need it the most. I suspect if your TSH is high, your T4 and T3 will be very low. It stands to reason that over time without the necessary T3, parts of your heart will struggle.
I am just applying logic here, I have not read that there is a link specifically for DVTs, but have read that low T3 damages the heart. Anemia will be the cause of the high platelets as the blood cannot make enough red blood cells with anemia.
Hi thanks for your message.
It makes sense. I didn’t have low t4 but low T3 and I warned my endo that the pattern where T3 is low and high TSH is not good for me.
Completely ignored me. And then a cascade of events that have screwed up my life occurred ending up to blood clots.
They are not just useless sometimes but also dangerous!!!
Those who really care are just few. And those who know their stuff are even less.
And those who don’t know stuff are even arrogant.
They just study the average topics and lazily stay there.
I have decide to recognise a good doctor by:
if they give you options;
If they know and tell you pros and cons of a treatment
If they admit they can’t catch anything with medicine and they keep themselves up with training and research
They work as a team with you and drop the protocol matters if necessary
If you agree or have anything else to watch out for, please add away
