I have just had covid for first time, and it hit me pretty badly, like a bad flu. My glands felt really swollen during it, particularly before, and still do. I'm also so tired. Sleeping a lot. Feel sluggish. Fat for no reason and constipated. This is all the feeling for me that my thyroid is under. Would anyone recommend temporarily using their levo dose and if so how long for? I'm currently on 100mg. I got my thryiod tested not too long before covid and results are attached.

Covid and under active thyroid
Just testing TSH is completely inadequate
Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each pharmacy
What vitamin supplements are you taking
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum

vitamin D good
No folate, ferritin or B12
it was recommended you get full iron panel including ferritin
Obviously need TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 tested together
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Did you check historic results to see if ever had high thyroid antibodies
Changing levo dose asks the body to adapt and change. It takes 6 to 8 weeks at least to do this and during this time we can feel terrible as things are out of kilter Your body is already fighting an illness and prioritising it's resources to do so . Why would you then send it a double whammy of new thyroid levels to adapt to?
Hi Billy, I don't have any helpful advice, I'm sorry, but thought you might be cheered to know that, like yo, covid left me with worsened thyroid symptoms, the good news bit is that since having another bout of covid I have improved a lot. The last bout seemed to trigger my body into recovering.
