This interesting paper gives some statistics about the unawareness and lack of treatment for considerable numbers of people. It is sponsored by Merck but even so I think the outcome gives conern about how poor both diagnosis and knowledge of thyroid problems is worldwide.

Will read it but don't hold out much hope "The diagnosis of hypothyroid disease is biochemical in nature and made according to a measurement of TSH". No surprise Merck sell thyroid blood tests.
Thank you so much for sharing this clinical data. I’ve read the clinical observation that hypothyroidism is easily overlooked, and experienced it myself in multiple in-person visits with an endocrinologist. It’s encouraging to have support. Particularly “We should remember that thyroid biomarkers are variable within and between subjects11,12 ”
