Alcohol and thyroid meds

I know this may seem trivial in the grand scheme of things, it is it ok to have a glass of wine with meds - carbimazole and propranolol? I am away at the weekend for my anniversary and would usually have a bottle of bubbly to celebrate/ wine with dinner. (I am newly hyperthyroid.)

As you just stared the new medications it is best to avoid alcohol until you taken propranolol and know how it affects you.

If you find it ok later on then it’s ok, but I found I cant tolerate it well.

I also stopped caffeine for a few weeks but find ok now.

Be sure to read the patient information which were dispensed with the medicines, as there are some rare side effects you must be vigilant for.
