I am Pat and live in South Africa. I have had thyroid issues for the past 25 years. I eventually listened to my body, after doctors were useless in understanding my problem.

Online research and the tiny interest from one doctor started to unlock doors in my mind....and improve my life. I am now very aware of how my body (thyroid) reacts to foods I eat and what medication I take.

I see you have recently joined so Welcome ! I joined over 6 years ago and quickly learnt so much from here/books/websites. I too take care of myself - having had a long and complicated health history before being diagnosed with Hashimotos here in Crete back in 2005 .... and so the journey continues 😊
