Anyone in here suffers from it or is significantly affected by weather changes?

Not my thyroid (well I don’t think so) but I’ve got inflammatory arthritis and my body has been creaking and aching for the last six weeks at least. Ever s8nce autumn arrived.

I haven’t done anything different to what I’d normally do, still taking the same pills etc so I’m definitely blaming the weather. I got up this morning, skipped the perfumed body lotion and rubbed on Ibuleve! !

My dose was increased recently but not due for blood test just yet so hard to gauge how much it affects me now, if at all.

I'm more sensitive to the change in atmosferic pressure, always been. Everytime it goes below around 1005 hPa I feel sore all over my body, get headache, stomachache, mood swings, you name it.

Although I don't suffer from arthritis (my mum does) I believe how debilitating that can be. In moments like that despite not feeling well myself I was always helping her out so she could rest.

I definitely suffer from "low pressuritis" resulting in low mood, difficulty in thinking straight (more so than usual) and sloth like tendencies. I seem to be OK as long as the sky is blue, it doesn't have to be warm outside, just bright and sunny. Must look at emigrating to Spain!

I'm the same. I have COPD and my breathing is much worse when the pressure is low. Inside the house or out. I am much better when visiting my son in Atlanta, clear blue most of the time.

I believe meteorological melancholia is a well documented phenomena. I even have friends here in California who suffer from it for our two months of "winter". I have little empathy for them, its only about 2 months and it's not that bad. We have even been "praying" for rain the past 4 years.

Regarding weather and health (and a bit off topic) I used to work at a leading edge weather radar station, it would pick up the weather coming from 500 miles away. Everyone would get excited and rush to the radar screen to see what was coming. I used to get slight rheumatic pains in my fingers hours before it showed up on the screen! I never let on though because it was a bit of a ball buster! My colleagues could never understand why I was always first at the control panel.

Try being in their shoes and living in UK with 10 months of cold and gloominess... 😬
