I assume you are referring to the TSH reading (thyroid stimulating hormone)? It does not mean anything if you are on thyroid hormone replacement. If you are not, it indicates hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland).

Most doctors will argue that if your TSH is below range when on thyroid hormone replacement you are overmedicated and need to cut back. End of story. However, that is not necessarily true. People with autoimmune hypothyroidism may find that they feel better on a suppressed TSH as that tends to calm antibody activity down. T3 (synthetic or in natural desiccated thyroid) also often suppresses the TSH. In that case, you need to go by the free Ts; that is, FT4 and FT3, especially FT3, to decide whether or not you are on the right dose for you.

Welcome to our forum and you haven't given any information on your profile. i.e. have you been diagnosed with a problem of your thyroid gland? I am assuming your result is for the TSH and it is low but you have to state the ranges - these figures are in brackets.

Results of TSH can vary throughout 24 hours of the day, i.e. its higher early a.m. and reduces during the day. If you are having a test it has to be a fasting one (you can drink water) and if you were taking thyroid hormones you'd have to allow 24 hours gap between last dose and test.
