I have been on levothyroxine for 10 day but have started to feel slightly itchy with a pins and needles feeling all over my body is this common and will it settle in time?

I wouldn't say this is entirely normal and you may want to get a doctor's opinion. It might be a good idea to check the inactive ingredients to see if there is anything in them that you may be allergic to. Some contain lactose or acacia which are two ingredients that some people are allergic to.
It could just be your body getting used to having enough thyroid hormone but I would definitely ask your doctor if it doesn't settle down and definitely contact him if it gets worse.

Pins and needles in your arms at night, and perhaps legs and feet too, is pretty comon in hypothyroidism, so it might be just that your Hashi's is getting a bit worse before the Levo increases and kicks in.
Have you tried supplementing B vitamins, and do you know what your B12 level is? I think B6 and B12 reduce my pins and needles at night, but I may be delusional.
