Liquid Levothyroxine

Hi, I am having to go on to liquid levo for a while. Has anyone had this and are there any problems? Thanks.

Sounds an unusual situation. If it were simply a matter of needing to avoid swallowing tablets, at least some ordinary UK levothyroxine tablets explain that you can disperse them in water and swallow the resulting solution/suspension.

Some people find it messy (it is quite a sticky substance) and difficult to accurately measure. Some prefer a syringe and others a spoon. Some find the glycerol too much for their gut to take.

Thank you Rod. It has come with a syringe, so I will see how it goes. Thanks for the info about crushing them - it's good to know that I have that option too!

The only problem I had with it was because it only has a shelf - life of 3 weeks and the constant up and down to the doctors and chemists got to me!
