Yesterday I got up, walked the dog, had breakfast THEN remembered my levo. Oh my gosh did I feel weird, is it normal? Never forgotten b4!

Yes it's normal but may suggest your levels are on the low side

I did this when I felt so well that I'd forgotton all about my hypothyroidism and taking my levo was no longer my priority! I had to leave out a reminder for a while, and I date all my tablets so I know if I've had todays dose. Taking my levo has now become such a habit I don't need reminders any more - but I still date my dose, just in case!

Well it was for me. I usually realised before I had my breakfast but it gives you a sinking feeling and kind of wrecked the start to my day.

It meant I used to go out in the car (as a passenger) with my grapefruit, a slice of toast and a thermos of coffee and clock watched until it was time to eat. Mind you in the mornings I had my blood tests I just waited a bit then ate. Annoying though isn't it.

Hi, I put my dose of levo in a little dish by the side of the bed - I usually take it around 2 or 3 in the morning when I get up to go to the loo. If it's still there in the morning I take it then, simples! Seriously, this is a good way of not forgetting.

Good luck, Val

It is normal not to feel anything different. Levothyroxine takes four to six weeks to get into your system. You should not worry about missing the odd one or two days it doesn't matter, it'll catch up.

Thanks everyone, I do take my levo in the middle of the night usually. I had really strange vision off an on all morning and the only thing i could pin it on was the very big delay in taking my meds. Note to self..... Take medication before engaging brain! Grrrrrr
