...where is the pain - and what is the disease ? What are your blood test results and their ranges ? Without these we are not able to help much. How long have you been diagnosed and so on....on the Right of this page near the top - there is a Post which says - Everyone Read This - under pinned questions. It may help you to compose your post so we can help you......

Hi mambo, yes being hypo brings on many types of conditions. It can affect the bowels. Sometimes doctors don't relate those other conditions to the thyroid and treat them separately. I suppose if you have an autoimmune disease like Hashimoto, you can also have another autoimmune disease. It is complicated. I like the way this doctor explains it. youtube.com/watch?v=OnEzGNt...

hi mambosambo - it could be the bowel problem is causing the thyroid problem. Look up Izabella Wentz Hashimoto's Root cause - it might sound familiar.

I have diverticulitis & a friend of mine with crohnes disease recommended I took slippery elm.......it works for me as it did for him.

You can get it in capsules but I buy mine in a powder & mix in water......best to put in glass & mix with a little drop of water first then top up with more water.

It is not to unpleasant to drink just a little gloopy......It sooths & lines the bowel.

My friend also swore by linseeds, he would bash them then soak in water & brink them down.

Not the best remedy for diverticulitis but good for crohns, so hope you get some relief soon.

Take care
