Went to see Endo last week, dismissed the anti body suspicions and said that some times feeling as I do is sometimes just unexplained

He also tested for adrenal, by taking blood pressure once I stood up from laying on the examination bed, is this correct? Any help or views welcome

Go see someone who isn't too blind to look. What are your antibody and other thyroid and adrenal results,?

Unexplained??? As in he can't be bothered to spend the time necessary to a) do enough tests to find out what actually is wrong and b) think.

I'm beginning to think that b) is the problem for many doctors.

The bit about taking your BP sitting and standing is a step in the right direction. I was told to do that by Dr P back in April. It was interesting as adrenals are my main problem it seems. A few weeks after seeing him I had a stressful event which sent me spiralling downwards. I could see that my BP dropped significantly on standing for several days. In June I had a cardiology appointment. I told the cardiologist I'd been diagnosed with thyroid and adrenal problems and told him about my BP dropping on standing. He looked me straight in the eye and said "that's typical of an adrenal crisis".

If you think you might have adrenal problems, order the 24 hour saliva cortisol test from Genova UK and look at this questionnaire adrenalfatigue.org/take-the.... Then read Dr P's book "your thyroid and how to keep it healthy" and Janie Bowthorpe's book "Stop the thyroid madness".

Going to order the 24hr adrenal test, just been out for a walk, bit tired before now achy back and backs of legs are tight, only eased a bit after a coffee.

Hi Well the only test your so called specialist did for adrenals was for postural hypertension. I would ask for a new referral, but research the Endo first, use a different hospital too..If like that, I doubt he did all the recommended tests or TSH, T4 and Free T3, essential. As far as antibodies, there never was this test. however, always , so long as the treatment is right, it is the same with antibodies as without.

I hope that helps.
