Why do you ask - do you think you have some. You could always look on the patients information leaflet as it will list side effects.

I'm not in the UK & can't easily read the leaflet! Have heard that some people in the UK are changing to T3 as more effective. Yes, do think I may have side effects - great improvement for the first 6 months then an increase in fatigue, skin/hair problems, concentration etc. Will visit the endocrinologist again soon; have just discovered this site & was interested to hear about other people's experiences. Thanks
The symptoms you've mentioned could actually be because your thyroid hormone is too low and you need an increase in medication. You don't say what dose you're on.
On 0.75 mg ( mcg?) per day...
0.75 mg is another way of saying 750 micrograms. Which would be a very high dose.
0.75 microgram is less than ONE microgram. Or around one thirtieth of the smallest tablet.
I would guess you are actually meaning 75 micrograms. (Which could also be written as 0.075 milligrams.)
That is a modest dose - enough for some, not enough for others.
If you went to the EMC site here:
... you could read the Patient Information Leaflets for any or all the UK makes. With appropriate care (i.e. obviously the excipients will almost certainly be a little different) you could apply much of what is written there.

Hi I agree it sounds to me that you need an increase, may be some T3 with the T4 ( Levo) too. Are you able to get bloods?, TSH, T4 and Free T3 done. Even if different to ours , be sure to have ranges with the results. Normally lots of retests until stable. Also we mostly like to have T4 in the top third of range and Free T3 near the top what ever the test for it. Usually.Endo`s first choice is often T4 ( levo) and T3, depending on blood results. Only if allergic to T4, which certainly does not sound like you, do they use T3 on its own.
Best wishes,
Jackie
