Change of levo manufacturer. Until now I'd always been given Mercury Pharma. However, my most recent tablets are Actavis.

Does anyone have experience with Actavis? Is it any different to Mercury?

I have had Actavis for a long time and had no problems at all, the Pharmacy have me on the system for Actavis only. I didn't like Merc Pharma tablets.

Thanks for the answer. What didn't you like about Merc?

My pharmacy has supplied me with Wockhardt brand.

Anyone had these? I have got a bit of an upset tummy and not sure what is causing it as I have got one heck of a bad cold too.

Ann,

Have a look here:

thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/treatm...

We really don't have much choice - only two formulations at each dosage (25, 50 and 100).

Actavis gave me the most awful stomach ache. I guess we are all so different and need to try other medication. It is really bad that we cannot try T3 or NDT though. Janet.

Actavis gave me palpitations like being scared. It also affected me in other ways. My husband noticed the change in me when I took it. I have been fine since.

I've been on Actavis for several years now and would not want to swap back. I got very worked up when the pharmacy gave me the first packet when I had been used to Mercury Pharma tablets but I have found them absolutely fine and I have achieved an equilibrium at the moment in my health and am feeling very well (apart from walking and balance issues to do with having MS).

P.S. Apart from 100mcg of Levo, I also take B12, Vitamin D and Magnesium supplements.
