I have been told I have a condition called anismus as a complication of longstanding IBS. It means I have lost the co-ordination between my brain and my bowel so that when I feel I need to go to the loo I can't start it off and then I can't finish properly, if that makes sense. Has anyone else any knowledge of this condition please. Thanks. Ros
