Thanks Ralphy for your reply, i get the same pain left lower side of stomach. Guess i ll have to persevere with this new and another one of IBS's curses. Thanks for the reply
I find that wind settles help me a little when I get like this, but I suppose it may not work for everyone
Wind *settlers* (predictive txt nightmare ??)
Thats exactly the the thing Eliza, with IBS, what works for one, doesnt for another. Ive been taking some herbal charcoal tabs.......doc keeps prescribing Omeperazole. Cramping and Bloating are my 2 main symptoms, recently tho, winds taken over. And i donbt even eat gassy foods.
Can you believe we re talking about wind lol. Its great we have this forum. Just imagine discussing sensitive things like this with someone on the train or bus etc lol
Anyway will try Wind Settlers, thanku for your reply
I'm only 17 so i have limited knowledge, i suffered for 2 years but i found some herbal remedies:
New Era - For headaches; small tablets that you dissolve on your tongue.
Headaid - For headaches; 3 drops on a cotton pad; lavender, peppermint&chamomile.
Windeze - For wind(like it says); minty chewable tablets, a little bitty but i like them - they also help if you feel bloated
I also went to some health lady who did a food sensitivity test (you had to pay, not sure how much though), she puts a metal rod between your toes that sends electrical signals (can't feel it at all) and tests different types of foods, i reacted to most grains, so i went on a gluten free diet because it eliminated all grains (i wasn't strict, just no normal bread or pasta etc.) within 2 weeks i felt better than i had done in 2 years. I still eat gluten free bread at home and occasionally take a Windeze but other than that I'm all good.
Hope i helped in some way
Thankyou for your post and reply Lucie. Much appreciated, much like you ive tried so so many things before. But will definitely give the things you mention a whirl and see if it helps.
Thanks again, dont know what people would with IBS would do without this forum. Also good to hear you re doing well
