I am trying and failing to get into a pessary site! I need help. Filled in all questions but still won’t except me!

Ive been diagnosed with a large rectocele.

Had all the tests etc. bowel surgeon advised gynaecologist opinion- so I paid privately. Long story short ( it was a battle) got a 62 mil silicone vaginal pessary fitted last Friday- it fell out after 7hrs! HELP!!

Contact private gynnae secretary asap. Explain the pessary fell out and can you be fitted in (without paying) for the pessary to be put back in? Or, just book your GP or practice nurse asap at your surgery as they should be able to help...

Agree with Frasina, the gynaecologist who fitted it on Friday should be sorting the problem out....by refitting you with a more suitable size by the sound of it.

I’m in wales. My GPS surgery doesn’t fit them and not even the nurses.

I thought, having paid £270 to see private gynaecologist, he would have fitted it. But he just referred me to the UHW pessary clinic.

When I eventually ( after 26 calls, I kid you not!) I was told they are short staffed, lack of experienced nurses available and as I was going away in a week ( starting at 2 weeks!) it would be unsafe.anyone who gives more than one excuse is fibbing!

So I have to go through this rigmarole all over again after ‘holiday’ won’t be going far from hotel as spend most of my day & sometimes nights douching my bowel as I constantly want to go 😞

Got another pessary fitting this Friday 🤞having had last Fridays cancelled on the day!
