I would like to thank all of you who responded to my issues. The recommendations, tips . Also the lovely energy on here. We are all suffering yet we help each other out. My flare up has ceased for now , I'm so happy . I've lost weight , but that's understandable when the toilet is your only faithful friend lol .

Stay happy, stay well

It's good to hear your flare up has stopped. Did you take something to help, or different foods, or maybe it just went away by itself as IBS flare ups are inclined to do.

Nice to know you're feeling a bit better :D

I tried many things, peppermint oil capsules, peppermint tea. Mebeverine didn't work for me at all . I'm just on a elimination diet. Now it's not so much a flare up , it's better . Also probiotics help . Try not to stress too much either. I say try because some days it's too much, but I find its best not to stress about going to the toilet. Thank you for your reply

So pleased you are feeling better and in more control. This forum helped me so much and so pleased it has helped you too. It is good to know there are others out there that are experiencing the same problems and we are not alone. Probiotics and peppermint capsules helped me so much and I wouldn't be without them now.

Thank you for your reply . Unfortunately I spoke too soon after having 1 good week . I'm back with IBS (D) I have no idea why . Still taking the peppermint capsules and probiotics. I did eat a subway , probably why , back again trying to find things to eat

I also find these things come and go. I can be fine one week with no or hardly any symptoms at all and go to the loo perfectly in the morning, and can even eat better. Then suddenly something switches back again. It happened to me the other day with carrots! I had been able to eat carrots for ages and they always had a slight laxative effect on me before, but suddenly they weren't really doing that!

Well, suddenly they started doing that again, for no obvious reason, and I'd just bought a fresh bunch of lovely tasty organic ones. Now they are sitting in my fridge, waiting for a better day.

It's frustrating when we have to go back to eating only the "safe foods" again for a while.

I agree its very frustrating when a simple thing like eating becomes a minefield . Mine has settled down a little
