forever fed up?

Today I have been at my wits end with it I can't sit,stand or walk I have tried believe me I could do with shock pads sewn into my feet as the chronic pain that shoots up my bum I even tried walking on tip toes ( no good ) sitting down feels like rocks so I am on edge with it and restless and keep on going 2 the toilet just in case!!!! I've tried 2 force it out but far 2 exhausted 2 do so and keep on hoping that it will happen on it's own ( I do know it's constipation today ) and again far 2 afraid of unblocking myself 2 that nasty stuff I can't control and will be glued 2 the toilet forever again eaten just enough 2 keep me afloat plenty of cups of teas de-caf lacto free milk one's and squash but when it's forever gnawing scratching,pinching in and around my bum and never eases and annoying & having this "URGE" 2 poop all the time and having 2 keep on making mad dashes 2 the toilet 4 it 2 be farts never knowing what med's 2 take 4 it let alone anything else 2 do 4 it & nearly in tears with it sometimes I feel like cutting it out of me just 4 it 2 stop and forever being a right old nervous wreck with it I do snap at my hubby from time 2 time as I am very short fused these days with it yes I do know that I've only had this IBS/Divert Disease for the last 3/4 years and new 2 this nasty stuff and given up with the NHS when they just keep giving me tablets and more or less GET on with it well that's enough of my self pity 4 today as I know full well everyone else on this forum has their own problems OH if I had the money I would try 2 go private but wouldn't know where 2 start and would it be worth it? well everyone else on here look after yourselves please

I am sorry you are feeling so terrible like this. Constipation is definitely nasty and can be very painful but I can see why you're a bit scared of unblocking it. It would probably be a lot better for you though, if you did. Maybe you could try a glycerin suppository? (rather than putting laxatives through your whole system)

Did that happen on its own or from taking Imodium?

Did your doc. refer you to a gastroenterologist? You may have mentioned that before but I have forgotten, so sorry.

If you were referred, maybe you could give them a call again if it wasn't too long ago, or ask for another referral. This is awful, you going through all that with no help.

Yes, we are inclined to be left to ourselves to "just get on with it" by doctors when they can't diagnose anything specific, and none of the usual things for IBS work

But this pain in your bottom sounds quite extreme! Plus the floods of watery diarrhea you have as well, plus the constipation. Did you get checked for infections like Giardia etc?

Yes I think that imodiums could have been some of the problem I just don't know as sorry 2 go into vivid detail but when on the toilet it comes out like water I tend 2 take 2 of them as I am afraid once it starts it won't stop as even when I am about the house & near the toilet I can't all ways make it in time even though I wear paper pants all the time since having this IBS/Divert Disease I feel like a baby and scared of messing myself all the time is so degrading 4 me at least being indoors I can clean myself up but the last 2/3 years since my hubby retired and about the house like he is I can never have any P&Q or R&R as I am forever a right old nervous wreck with it every waking moment of the day but I thank you 4 taking the time 2 respond 2 me when you have the same problem I just hope they can come up with a cure really soon take care
