Hi Buds23, it's only supposed to help with the cramping, wind and pain - I don't believe it stops the D. I take Immodium alongside Buscopan, as Immodium does stop the D. Good luck!

Problem is Boxroad I cannot take Imodium..I havent tried Buscapan as yet. I have been on Alvarine citrate for about 2 years but I dont seem to be doing so good on them..thought maybe time for a change..thank you for your reply.

I have observed no improvement whatsoever when using buscopan.

Totally agree. Buscopan & mebeverine don't work for me.

Mebeverine works for me but not for the pain, paracetamol gets rid of my pain.

The only thing that has hugely helped with that day in day out pain was Citalopram which is a SSRI and can be very beneficial for treating off label IBS. I also take a complex Pre/Probiotic each day, avoid onions, milk and wheat
