Abbreviations ? ? ?

this is such a wonderful site but the abbreviations ???? It’s frustrating trying to read a reply then there it is whatever it means ?? Thx Some of us are new here !!

Yes, I know what you mean. Abbreviations and acronyms are difficult if you are unfamiliar with them. I often find myself googling unknown ones.

And me. Some I know already, some I don't, so just highlight & right click which puts them through search.

I was told in a forum to use the words in the first sentence, then the acronym after that, so that everyone could understand.

Some people have difficulties reading stuff and find it hard to use google so often, or even the highlight and right click.

Thank you to everybody who writes the words, but if you do the acronyms that's fine. Some have trouble writing out every word too.

You have to watch out though, because sometimes googling stuff works, and sometimes it doesn't and that's really frustrating. I put an abbreviation through search once and found a plumber with the same initials , somewhere in the world. I have forgotten now, and he was a BIG plumber, so all the pages were about his company!

Etc. It can happen.

Mind you...drain unblockers could be useful for some of us with IBS....haha!
