Hi there, I take Laxido on a regular basis, usually taking 2/3 sachets when needed and usually take it just before bedtime

Hi when i was 1st given it i was on 3 sachets a day and took at breakfast lunch and dinner. Im now down to 1 a day when needed which i take anytime during the day but normally in the morning. I have started using ground flaxseeds and have 2 tablespoons per day and find i don't have to use laxido so regularly.

Does anyone get incomplete evacuation feelings whilst taking it, I'm on 1 a day and still get the washing machine bowel feelings of needing the loo all the time, is that just a side effect or a sign that I'm not taking enough? I'm still also getting cramps despite having soft stools everyday and pain above belly button.

in reply to Orchid99

Hi I get exactly the same symptoms as you I take movicol every day too and the pain right side of my belly button is evil 😩x

It's a nightmare, I've got a transit study in a few weeks which I hope will tell me more, I hope I haven't got slow motility because I don't want what comes along with it and the sacrifices.

I keep my fingers crossed for you I’m having ct colonoscopy this week so maybe I will find out cause of my problems, my constipation’s gone but the pain is constant 😩x

My colonoscopy came back negative after my calprotectin was 1218ug, ct scan showed significant faecal loading, that's when they put me on movicol, I have confirmed methane overgrowth too. Hope you get some answers, the pain is the worst part of it all x

in reply to Orchid99

Movicol will def clear that if you take enough of it !! Are you in the U.K. ? To be tested for sibo ? X

Yes uk, I've been on movicol since December and started with 8 sachet clear through and dropped down to 1 a day but i still get cramps and pain and episode's of loose stool.

in reply to Orchid99

I started taking it in December too perhaps it’s the movicol causing the pain it’s def got worse since taking it if my cr comes back clear I’m going to ask to be tested for sibo x

I suppose you could try taking it at different times and see what suits you best or even ask your chemist. Con amore Bx
